It has been decided to discontinue the SellaBand fundraiser. There has been many things leaning to this decision. In part it is related to SellaBand going bankrupt a few months back, resulting in the company being bought and moved to another country. Also a result of this acquisition the amount that the company takes off the top of the fundraiser was increased. Overall, this, combined with other reasons including slow site traffic, has resulted in the decision to raise the funds for the next SK album privately. Anyone that might be interested in privately investing in Squanky Kong feel free to check out the Executive Summary and contact directly. No worries, the next album will be coming in the future one way or another. You can count on that.

In the meantime, keep a look out for some multimedia project on the near horizon. Videos are expected to be available online related to Squanky Kong in the latter part of the second half of 2010.

Not a lot brewing in the land of Squanky Kong. No leads to find support for live production or further promotions at this time. Meanwhile Composer/ Producer James M. House is working on side projects, and with Squank Entertainment administration. As always there is new material in the works to combine with some songs from the vault for the next album. However, there is no forseen production start date at the moment. It is just a matter of time though.

There are still FREE CDs of the full-length debut, "Under a Raven's Review" available to those that join the mailing list. Don't miss your chance.

Real Prophecies
(Changes periodically)

Qu'en dans poiffon, fer & lettres enfermee,
Hors fortira qui puis fera la guerre:
Aura par mer claffe bien ramee,
Apparoiffant pres de Latine terre

Michel de Nostredame
(AKA Nostradamus)

Translated: When the weapons and documents are enclosed in a fish, out of it will come a man who will then make war. His fleet will have voyaged far across the ocean to appear near the Italian shore.

The man coming out of a fish that contains weapons and documents is commonly interpreted as emerging from a modern submarine. No wars have started in this manner lending this prophecy attachment by many to a third world war. However, this could just as easily be associated with any major war yet to be. There is little doubt that submarines will be apart of modern warfare for many decades to come. Even a war after a third world war could theoretically be what was seen in this prophecy.

Nostradamus lived during a time in the 16th century when being a prophet was considered a great offense to many. People would outcast such individuals, the church even known to execute. That is primarily why these prophecies appear in a quatrain format. This gave an artistic excuse for those that were against precognitive activities. Nostradamus believed it was worth the risks for the chance that knowledge of what could happen, might change the future. Eliminating the negative events that he had foreseen.
