After a successful test run with Squanky Kong Live at the end of Summer 2017, SK mastermind James Michael House is headed to the studio in 2018 to begin work on the long-time coming next full-length album. It will be the first album since 2008's Under a Raven's Review. No release dates or other information is available at this time, but it is expected to be coming sometime in 2019. In the meantime, more Squanky Kong Live will be brewing and could pop-up sometime in-between now and then. Stay Tuned for more news as it becomes available.

Friday the 13th, a private showcase is performed by the first live Squanky Kong band ever in Hollywood, Califronia. It was recorded to have a few videos released from the performance. The band line-up was selected from a pool of session musicians assembled in Los Angeles, pieced together with just a few rehearsals and a couple musicians having worked on the material previously. It is just a first step at gathering further backing and getting the music live to the world.
Wishing everyone around the world a very Happy New Year!
May 2016 bring you closer to your dreams.
There are a lot of exciting new things in coming this year for Squanky Kong including music videos and the long awaited launch of a live show.
"Imminent Insurrection", the new EP from Squanky Kong is available now on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, Amazon, and many others.
The single "Repetition Arising" has been released. It is the first song from the upcoming EP, "Imminent Insurrection". The single is available now on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, Amazon, and many others.
The new EP, Imminent Insurrection, has been pushed back to be released on 10-13-2015. A last-minute decision to take a different direction to finish off the recording as best as possible, has taken longer than expected. The end result will be worth the wait.
The new extended play record from Squanky Kong, Imminent Insurrection, has been announced for release on 9-15-2015.
Recording is underway for a new Squanky Kong EP to come in 2015. Most of it is being done guerilla-style using the rehearsal studio in North Hollywood. Don't let that fool though, it is turning out great so far.
Meanwhile the search for someone to switch between Guitar and Bass with JMH in the live band is still pushing forward.
After finding a stale investment market for music endeavors at the seed stage, Squanky Kong has decided to change directions on the business front. The company formed in at the beginning of 2013 (end of 2012) is being dissolved this year. Instead, SK will remain apart of founder JMH's Squank Entertainment while growing to an early business stage, and while seeking further financial backing to launch into the international market.
To take the music/ band to the next stage, a rehearsal studio has been assembled in North Hollywood over the past few months. So itt has begun. The formation of a Squanky Kong line-up to tour and record is officially underway. The plan is to get the ball rolling as much as possible with a live band, new recordings, a video, and new merch, no matter how long it takes to piece togehter on a shoe-string budget.
A new video based on music visualizations (w/lyrics) has been posted to YouTube for the demo song "Expansion Everlasting".
Squanky Kong has finished up a new demo. It is being called "Demo 13". One of the songs has been available to hear for a while, "Insurgo Repeto". However, even that song has had some modification for the finalization of the demo. It has been made to demonstrate some of the new material intended for the next album, and feature the new vocalist Joseph Michael. To be used mainly for business purposes while SK seeks more backing to further expand the music and form a touring band. It has been made available for online streaming only for the fans to hear. At this point the main website hosting the songs is ReverbNation. The player with all the songs can be found here on this site using the "Rhapsody" button to the left, or you can visit the official SK ReverbNation page.
Squanky Kong has formed a company (LLC) to further expand: record new music, make new merchandise, and bring a touring band to a town near you, while remaining 100% independent. We are currently seeking investors to become members of the company and sit on the board with this new exciting venture. Details cannot be disclosed publicly due to US laws. However, if you, or someone you know, is an accredited investor with interest please make contact here at the email address under the "Enlighten" link to the side. There is a detailed Business Plan and Private Placement Memorandum (PPM) already prepared for any interested parties to review.
There is now a sample of the the song "Insurgo Repeto" from the 2012 Demo available on the SK ReverbNation music player.
Squanky Kong is working with a new vocalist, and new material for the next album. A sample of the music will be available this summer.
There is also work underway to get further backing behind SK and form a touring band of musicians together. Now is an important time to help spread word and show your support!

It has been decided to discontinue
the SellaBand fundraiser. There has been many things leaning
to this decision. In part it is related to SellaBand going
bankrupt a few months back, resulting in the company being
bought and moved to another country. Also a result of this
acquisition the amount that the company takes off the top
of the fundraiser was increased. Overall, this, combined
with other reasons including slow site traffic, has resulted
in the decision to raise the funds for the next SK album
privately. Anyone that might be interested in privately
investing in Squanky Kong feel free to check out the Executive
Summary and contact directly. No worries, the next album
will be coming in the future one way or another. You can
count on that.
In the meantime, keep a look out
for some multimedia project on the near horizon. Videos
are expected to be available online related to Squanky Kong
in the latter part of the second half of 2010.

from the vault for the next album. However, there is no
forseen production start date at the moment. It is just
a matter of time though.
